The family of an 80-year-old Dundee women, who has been missing since this morning, is becoming increasingly worried for her safety.

June Murray, who 'may be in a confused state', according to police, was last sighted at her home address in the city's Strathearn Road at 8:10am.

She is described as being five feet five inches tall, with short grey permed hair, wearing black coloured trousers, a pink jumper, clue anorak, white socks and black shoes.

It is thought she may have travelled into Dundee town centre, and more recently, Fife.

Chief Inspector Nicky Russell said: ‘Officers are carrying out searches of the surrounding areas but June may have gone further afield.

‘Given it is dark and cold outside now, can I ask that members of the public check outbuildings and sheds to make sure there are no persons within.
