A Dundee based charity will bring something new to the Flower and Food Festival this year, with a pop up tea room, where customers can enjoy a sit down with cakes, freshly made sandwiches and a good chat.

Transform’s marquee will illustrate the importance of community spirit and how it can make a real difference to someone’s life.

Transform provides safe accommodation, support and vital services to the most vulnerable people, working to make sure people get the help they need to get their life back on track and have a positive future.

Depute Neighbourhood Services Convener Councillor Vari McDonald said: “I’m sure these events will help raise awareness and understanding of the positive impact the local community can make.

“I would like to encourage everyone attending the Flower and Food Festival to come along to the marquee and see what Transform is about and how they can help.”

Councillor McDonald will be visiting the charity, over some tea and cakes, ahead of their first appearance at this year’s Flower and Food Festival.

Transform’s marquee is being supported by Arbuckles, Mackays Jam, The Vine; Ms Battenberg’s Travelling Tea Room and winter and Simpson.
