Two people threatened with knife in Dundee robbery

Officers are appealing for witnesses after a theft and robbery in Dundee.
Around 8.20am on Thursday morning, a man stole a quantity of groceries from Lidl in Dura Street, Dundee. Two members of staff from the store ran after him and attempted to recover the items from the man in North Erskine Street.
The suspect threatened the staff members with a knife, then he made off with the items in the direction of Malcolm Place. The two male members of staff were uninjured but shaken as a result of this incident.
The suspect is described as white, aged in his 30s, 5ft 10 ins in height and of slim build with dark hair.
He was wearing a black Stone Island padded jacket with a white t-shirt, black jogging trousers and white trainers. He was in the company of another man who is described as white, aged in his 30s, 5ft 8ins in height and of stocky build with dark hair. He was wearing a grey GAP hooded top, grey jogging trousers and dark-coloured trainers.
Constable Paul Scott of Dundee’s Maryfield Police Station is appealing to any witnesses or anyone with information to contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 0600 of 18 February.
