Firefighters from USA tie knot at Glasgow station

Amanda Munroe and James Ownbey made their dreams come true by saying "I do" at Calton Community Fire Station.

Two firefighters from Georgia in the USA are waking up a married couple this morning after tying the knot in Glasgow.

Amanda Munroe and James Ownbey said "I do" at Calton Community Fire Station surrounded by staff and crew.

Amanda told Tay FM: "They went above and beyond with the full ceremony, a bagpiper and even transport.

"We could talk for hours with everyone here about one of these fire trucks, it's really special having a connection with people wherever we go."

The pair met in 2020 met when they started working together at Glynn County Fire Department.

James said: "It was awkward, but I appreciate how unique it was.

"The fact that Gary Marshall and his team went to all this effort for us is pretty incredible."
