Two people have been arrested and charged after a serious organised crime unit operation in Dundee.

Warrants were executed at homes in the Keswick Terrace, Balmoral Place, Glamis Road and Charleston Drive areas of the city yesterday.

Cocaine and cannabis were seized – along with £30,000 worth of heroin.

A 51-year-old man and 40-year-old woman were taken into custody.

Detective Inspector Julia Ogilvie from the Organised Crime and Counter Terrorism Unit said: “Illegal drugs cause such suffering to families and communities and we remain determined to dismantling drugs networks.

“This operation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy."
