Two arrested after car mounts pavement in Dundee city centre
Terrified pedestrians had to leap out the way to avoid being hit
Two people have been arrested after a series of road collisions in Dundee last night.
A 35-year-old man and 16-year-old boy have been charged in connection with the incidents.
A blue Ford Focus is said to have mounted the pavement in the city centre just before 7pm, forcing terrified pedestrians to jump out of the way.
The same vehicle is then said to have become involved in two separate incidents on Black Street and Duncarse Road.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in Dundee are appealing for information regarding a road traffic incident which occurred in Nethergate, Dundee about 6.50pm on Thursday 30 March.
Around this time a blue Ford Focus motorcar was seen to drive erratically and mount the pavement before making off.
"It is believed pedestrians were forced to take evasive action to avoid being hit.
"A short time thereafter, this vehicle was also involved in a road traffic collision in Black Street and latterly Duncarse Road, Dundee, where two males were arrested.
"Police Scotland would like to appeal to anyone who may have information regarding any of these incidents to contact them on 101 or speak to any Police Officer".
