Third call out for Broughty Ferry lifeboat crew
Broughty Ferry volunteer lifeboat crews were called out on Thursday afternoon, their third call out this week.
The call was in response to a beach lifeguard becoming concerned about a stand up paddle boarder, seen to be around three quarters of a mile offshore, just before 4pm.
The inshore lifeboat was launched at 4.05pm and crews quickly located the female paddle boarder at the beach to the north of Tentsmuir Forest.
She was found to be in no distress and had no complaints.
She was escorted back across the river to Broughty Ferry.
Earlier this week, crews were involved in the search for a man spotted swimming in the Tay near Dundee on Monday and they also helped assist a yacht having problems with its mast near the mouth of the River Tay on Wednesday.
