NHS Tayside announces temporary closure of PCR testing sites
The testing sites will each be closed for one day to allow for winter season upgrades.
PCR coronavirus testing sites across Tayside will get essential upgrades over the next two weeks.
The UK Government, which operates the permanent COVID-19 PCR testing venues across Tayside, has advised that sites across Tayside will follow a timetable of one-day closures.
NHS Tayside says the short closures will allow the health board to prepare for the winter season.
The public are reminded that appointments for PCR tests at these permanent sites should be booked via nhsinform.scot or by calling 119.
The health board is assuring anyone who needs to book a test on days when the sites are closed will be offered an appointment at the next nearest available location.
NHS Tayside says anyone who is unable to travel to another location can order a PCR test to be delivered to their home or may choose to wait one day for their preferred site to reopen.
