Police Scotland is appealing for information after two men aged 33 and 28 were assaulted by a group of teenage boys in Hilltown Park, Caldrum Street, Dundee at about 8.30pm on Monday 10th October.

The seven suspects are described as being about 14-17 years-old, wearing hooded tops and jogging bottoms.

Sergeant Alex Munro, Community Investigation Unit said

“It is understood that the group of young boys were seen in Murraygate, Dundee earlier in the evening and that they followed their victims to Hilltown Park, where they carried out the assault.

“This was an unprovoked attack and the violent group behaviour demonstrated in this assault could have resulted in serious consequences for the victims. Fortunately both men sustained only minor injuries.

“Police Scotland does not tolerate violence of any kind and we would reassure the public that we are investigating all lines of enquiry in relation to this matter.

“Anyone who saw these teenagers, or knows who they are should contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online at https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/give-information-online/
