Appeal after teenager assaulted on Dundee bus

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was assaulted on a bus in Dundee.

It happened on Liff Road in the city on Friday, 21st March at around 6:10pm.

Officers say a man got on the Xplore bus outside the Whip Inn and assaulted a 17-year-old passenger before making off in an unknown direction.

The teenager was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment for serious injuries. He was later discharged.

The man is described as white, around 5ft 10in tall, of slim build and aged around his late teens. He was wearing a dark hoodie and dark coloured jogging bottoms.

Drivers asked to check dash-cam footage

Detective Constable Jerra Mentiply said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the suspect and we are asking anyone who saw what happened or knows who the man is to get in touch.

“If you were driving in the area at the time can you please check dash-cam to see if you have captured anything that would help with our investigation.”
