Police appeal for witnesses after tragedy on Dundee road

A 15-YEAR-OLD boy has died after being hit by a car while cycling on a Dundee road.

The teenager was struck by a black Nissan as he cycled at Pitkerro Road at around 7.15pm last night

Emergency services raced to the boy’s aid, but he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the car was uninjured in the collision.

Police are they're appealing for witnesses, including drivers with dashcam footage, who were in the area at the time.

Sergeant Alan Pettigrew of D Division Roads Policing Unit said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact us, as they may have information that will assist our investigation.

“I am also keen to hear from any drivers who were on the road at the time who have dash-cam footage.

“This footage will also assist our ongoing enquiries into this crash.”
