Children involved in fatal Perthshire car crash in 'serious' condition

A nine and five-year-old boy were airlifted to hospital

Two boys who were airlifted to hospital after a fatal road crash in Perthshire over the weekend are said to be in a 'serious' condition.

A nine and five-year-old are being treated in Glasgow after a car left the A93 at Spittal of Glenshee on Sunday afternoon.

A 23-year-old man who was found dead at the scene has now been identified as Reece Tucker from the Kirkton area of Dundee.

The driver of the BMW 3 Series, who's 31, was taken to Ninewells Hospital with minor injuries

A full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.

Sergeant Fraser Cameron, of the Perth Road Policing Unit, said: “The family has requested privacy at this time.

“Our investigation into the cause of this crash on Sunday afternoon is continuing. I would ask any witnesses to the crash who have not yet spoken to officers to contact us.

“I would also appeal to anyone driving on the A93 near to its junctions with the B950 and B951 around 4.15pm who has dash-cam footage to come forward.”
