Supplies of vaccines to Scotland will "slightly dip'' in the coming weeks, First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said.

At her daily Covid briefing Nicola Sturgeon said:

"We expect, over the second part of February, our supplies coming into Scotland to slightly dip for a period and that will be a UK-wide issue.

"We'll have to think about the balance of doses that we have available that go to second doses versus the additional people we want to give first doses to.''

A total of 928,122 people have received their first dose of the vaccine as of today.

The First Minister said she remained determined to ensure those over the age of 50 and anyone with an underlying health condition will receive their first dose by the start of May.

The FM also commented that there have been no reports of vaccine centres having to close due to the snow, but did acknowledge some people wouldn't make their booked slot, but assured them they would be offered a new one.

In the daily update of figures it was announced 58 more people have died after testing positive for the virus.

Another 822 people have tested positive, that's 7.8% of those tested.

1,618 people are in hospital, that's down by 54 and there's four more people in the ICU, taking the figure to 112.
