A stolen dog has been returned to its owner five months after it was originally reported stolen.

The dog was discovered during a traffic stop in Perth after being stolen from the Wick area.

A Tayside Police spokesperson, via social media, said: "On August 8th, 2022, during a routine vehicle stop #PerthRP traced a dog which had been reported stolen in March '22 from the Wick area.

"We think she was happy to see us and she has now been returned to her owner!

"The person she was recovered from has been reported to the court."
