The city of discovery is competing with Leeds and Milton Keynes to life the title, which is projected would bring a massive economic boost.
Lorraine said: "There is so much going on, it's a fantastic city and thoroughly deserves it.
"There's been such a renaissance in Dundee with everything going, with the V&A coming it's going to revitalise the whole waterfront.
"I've never seen a more beautiful location for a city, the people are great and the culture is so rich and so, so underrated."
