St Johnstone defender Brad McKay has been hit with a Scottish Football Association charge for calling Hearts striker Juanma a typical foreigner''.

McKay has been accused of making an offensive'' comment after claiming the Spaniard had been playacting during St Johnstone's 4-3 defeat at Tynecastle on the opening day of the Ladbrokes Premiership season.

SFA compliance officer Tony McGlennan has accused the former Hearts defender of making a comment of an offensive nature to the written media''.

The quotes cited by the SFA were: He's a typical foreigner, he gets touched and goes down. He was holding the back of his head and rolling about the place.''

McKay has until next Monday to respond with a hearing date pencilled in for August 24th.
