St Johnstone manager Tommy Wright picks up award

St Johnstone boss Tommy Wright has been voted Ladbrokes Premiership manager of the month for August after Saints' unbeaten start to the campaign.

The league's top scorer Michael O'Halloran, on loan from Rangers, has been named player of the month after scoring four league goals last month.

The Perth side began their league campaign with a 2-1 win over Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

A 4-1 win over Motherwell was followed by a 1-0 victory against Partick Thistle before the McDiarmid Park side held treble-winning Celtic to a 1-1 draw in Glasgow.
