Snow warning upgraded to amber for parts of Tayside and Fife
The latest Met Office update will be in place throughout tomorrow
A weather warning for snow in parts of Tayside and Fife has been upgraded to amber.
It's as police are describing roads in the area as "treacherous."
Overnight snowfall forced the closure of major roads such as the A93 at Glenshee.
Two primary schools in Angus have also been shut as a result.
Now the Met Office is expecting heavier snow to fall in Perthshire and Fife throughout tomorrow, with most of Tayside under a warning until Wednesday night.
Fife Council treated main roads with 20g pre-salt yesterday evening and emergency salt was added at 4.30am today as snow continues to fall.
A Dundee City Council spokesperson said: "Our gritting team have been out treating the priority roads and footpaths throughout the night and have continued this morning. They have 550km of road and 900km of pavements to cover.
