Skimming Device Found On Dundee Cash Machine

Police are urging us to be on our guard after the device was found on Tuesday

We’re being urged to be on guard at cash machines, after police in Dundee discovered a skimming device.

It was found on an ATM on St Boswell’s Terrace on Tuesday night.

Police tell us enquiries are on-going and are urging us to check ATMs haven’t been tampered with before we use them.

A police spokesperson said:

"There are some simple steps you can take to protect yourself from becoming a victim of skimming devices such as covering your pin number and checking that the ATM has not been tampered with or has any unusual attachment's on it prior to using it.

"If you believe you have become a victim of a card skimming device, you should report it to your bank in the first instance.

"Anyone with any information regarding this incident, should contact Police on 101 or if you wish to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
