A shop worker has been threatened with a knife during a robbery at a store in Dundee.

The man stole money from the till at Blackness News on Blackness Road at 8.15pm on Friday, February 9, before running off.

He was last seen running into Rosefield Place – he had been standing at the junction of Blackness Road and Blackness Street for a significant period before the robbery.

Detective Constable Andrew Howe said: “This was a very frightening experience for the shopkeeper, although gladly he has not been injured as a result of the male’s actions.''

“I am appealing for anybody within the community who has any information about this crime or knows the identity of the male to contact the police straight away.”

Police describe the man as a black male, of slim build, 5 foot 11 inches tall, aged 25 - 30 years old with facial hair.

He was wearing a navy parka style jacket with a fur-rimmed hood, black tracksuit bottoms, black training shoes and black gloves
