Police appealing for information following assault in Dundee

Police Scotland are appealing for information following a serious assault in Dundee.

Following a disturbance with a large group, a 17-year-old man was assaulted.

The incident occurred at around 7:20pm on Saturday 2nd April on Alexander Street near to the junction with the Hilltown.

He was taken to Ninewells for treatment after suffering a head injury.

Police Constable Matthew Rhind of Downfield Police Station said : ā€œWe are keen to trace a man aged late thirties to early forties, heavy build, wearing black Adidas trainers, dark blue jeans, a black waist length rain jacket with a hood, a black snood, heavy set face with receding thinning brown hair.ā€

ā€œWe are reviewing CCTV footage in the area and I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the assault or who may have dash-cam footage, and has not yet spoken to us as yet, to contact us as soon as possible.ā€
