Series of Dundee newsagents robberies "may be linked"
Officers are probing three incidents in the city's Charleston and Menzieshill areas.
Police are looking to trace three men in connection with a series of break-ins to shops in Dundee's Menzieshill and Charleston areas last night.
The incidents are thought to be linked, and took place between 1.00am and 4.00am this morning.
A first attempt was made to gain entry to the Spar shop on Glamis Hill, but those responsible left empty handed after the alarm sounded.
The Costcutters store in Charleston was also broken into, followed by the Charleston Supermarket just around the corner in Craigmount Road.
Each of them had quantities of alcohol and cigarettes stolen, but weren't badly damaged and both were open for business today.
CCTV footage from one of the shops showed three male suspects. The first was wearing a black cap, a grey jumper with a large Adidas logo, and light grey jogging bottoms.
The second was wearing a grey hoodie and white bottoms. The third was wearing a dark boilersuit and a dark hooded top.
Police are appealing for witnesses.
