There's an appeal for witnesses after a van was set on fire in Perth last night -- the second incident in a week on the same street.

Around 11.30pm on Wednesday, 20 October, emergency services were alerted after the white Peugeot van was set alight on Dunkeld Road.

The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.

It's the second time in a week that a vehicle in on the street has been targeted, following another fire between 9pm and 9.45pm on Saturday 16th October.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have information to come forward.

Constable Robert Roger, from Perth Police Station, said: “If you were traveling in the Dunkeld Road area around 11.30pm last night and saw anything suspicious, it could prove vital to our enquiries. This includes if you have any possible dashcam footage of individuals in the area.

“If you can assist our investigation, please call 101, quoting incident 4016 of 20 October. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111, if you wish to remain anonymous.”
