Second missing Castle Huntly prisoner found within a week

A prisoner who went missing from Castle Huntly has been found.

Andrew Weir was on home leave from the Tayside unit but didn't return last week.

He's the second man to have gone missing from the facilty this month.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: " We can confirm that 32-year-old Andrew Weir, an inmate at HMP Castle Huntly, Dundee, who went missing during home leave, has been traced.

"Weir was reported missing on Friday, 6 March, and traced and arrested in the Killin area on Monday, 9 March.

"Officers would like to thank all those who supported the appeal for information to trace Weir."
