Search For ATM Thieves
Police reveal more than ÂŁ100,000 was stolen from a cash machine in Kirriemuir in December.
Thieves who struck at a cash machine in Angus made off with more than ÂŁ100,000, police said today.
The huge sum - a "low six figure sum" understood to be between ÂŁ100,000 and ÂŁ200,000 - was taken from the cash machine at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Bank Street, Kirriemuir, Angus.
Thieves struck at around 4.50am on Saturday December 20.
Now a ÂŁ25,000 reward is on offer to anyone who helps solve the riddle of the raid at the bank branch.

It is thought the raid is linked to another attempted theft at an ATM at the Co-op shop in Gardyne Street, Friockheim - around 15 miles away - at 3.20am the same day.
Police are trying to trace three men seen travelling in a blue BMW M135i - registration number YE63BPZ - that was seen in the area of Friockheim around the time of the attempted theft.
Officers say the BMW appears to have been in the Angus area for a number of hours that morning.
The vehicle is known to have passed through Dundee in the Claverhouse Road area, and was last seen heading southwards on the A90 near to Longforgan.
During the initial enquiry into the reported incidents, police recovered empty cash machine cassettes on the A928, Kirriemuir to Glamis road.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Anyone who may have seen the BMW car or the occupants in Angus or Dundee or anyone who has CCTV relative to the areas described above is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101.
