ScotRail to introduce temporary timetable due to driver shortage
Bosses say they will make sure these changes don't affect The Open at Troon next week.

ScotRail will bring in a temporary timetable from tomorrow because it does not have enough drivers to cover overtime and rest days.
The operator has been in pay talks with a number of different trade union groups over the last few weeks but an offer was rejected on Friday.
Mark Ilderton, ScotRail Service Delivery Director, said: “We are very sorry to customers for the disruption to services. We know that customers want certainty and reliability, which is why we are introducing a temporary timetable, in place of late-notice cancellations.
“We are operating services which the vast majority of customers use and are still using all the available trains in our fleet so customers can continue to travel.
“We want to resolve the pay dispute with the trade unions and remain fully committed to further discussions."
It means there will be a dramatic drop in the number of hourly services on routes over Scotland.

Bosses say they will work as hard as possible to make sure these changes don't disrupt major events like The Open in Troon next week.
Mark added: “We’re asking customers to check their journey on our website or mobile app, as train times will have changed.”
