Schoolboy seriously injured after being knocked down by van in Dundee

A schoolboy has suffered serious leg injuries after being knocked down in Dundee.

The 11-year-old was hit by a Ford van on Charleston Drive, near to Etive Gardens, around 3:30pm.

The boy was taken to Ninewells hospital.

The driver of the van was uninjured.

Police Scotland crash investigators were in attendance and inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
