It's after officers revealed drugs valued at over £22m have been removed from Scotland's streets so far this year

A quarter of a million pounds worth of heroin and cocaine has been seized from a property in Dundee.

The find was made on Ormiston Crescent yesterday and a 29-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman have been charged.

It adds to figures released by police, revealing more than £22m worth of drugs have been removed from Scottish streets this year so far.

Detective Inspector Julia Ogilvie said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to disrupting the cultivation and sale of illegal substances.

“This investigation underlines our commitment to the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce and the country’s Serious Organised Crime Strategy.
