A quad bike worth thousands of pounds has been stolen from an Angus farm.

The Yamaha Kodiak 700 was taken sometime between last Thursday and Saturday near Tealing.

A Police Scotland statement reads: "We are currently investigating the theft of a quad bike from a farm between Tealing and Auchterhouse in Angus, which happened sometime between 16th-18th January.

"The bike, a Yamaha Kodiak 700, carried the registration SP68 DOH when it was stolen. If you are aware of anyone trying to sell this bike, or have any information that could help us find it, please let us know.

"If you have any information that could help us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Information can also be given anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 1487 of 18th January."
