Prisoner who absconded from open jail traced by police

Police have traced a prisoner who absconded from a jail near Dundee.

Kieran Kiely was reported missing from Castle Huntly open prison at 4.20pm on Wednesday.

Police Scotland confirmed the 23 year old, who used to play for Greenock, had been traced on Monday.

He was locked up after stealing a car at knifepoint in Helensburgh.

24 year old Daniel Hussain, who also absconded, has yet to be traced.

Members of the public are warned not to approach Hussain if they spot him and instead contact Police Scotland on 101.
