Police are looking to trace a driver who knocked down a five-year-old girl in Carnoustie on Monday night.
The woman did stop to help the child, who was not seriously injured and officers say they only want to obtain further information about the crash.
It happened on Ravensby Road around 8.30pm with the woman believed to be in her thirties, driving a small blue car similar to a volkswagen polo or golf.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We would like to stress that this is not a “hit and run” incident, and we wish to trace the driver involved in order to obtain relevant information about the collision, and also to ensure her own welfare.
"The driver of the car was wearing a blue uniform of some kind. She did stop at the scene and gave initial care to the girl and spoke with her mother.
