Police seeking inmate Brian Traynor after he absconds from Castle Huntly
A prisoner has absconded from an open jail.
Brian Traynor, 37, failed to return to HMP Castle Huntly near Dundee after a temporary period of leave.
Police, who were informed of his disappearance on Wednesday afternoon, are now appealing for information to help track him down.
Traynor is described as being 6ft 1ins, of slim build and clean shaven with short dark hair.
He is believed to have links to the Airdrie and Coatbridge areas of North Lanarkshire.
Police have warned members of the public not to approach Traynor, saying they should instead contact the force if they see him.
