Police searching for driver who fled scene of A9 crash

A woman was taken to hospital after the collision between the VW campervan and another vehicle

Police in Perth and Kinross are searching for the driver of a car involved in a crash on the A9 between Calvine and Dalnamein on Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the incident involving a white Volkswagen campervan and another vehicle on July 30 at around 6.10pm.

The other vehicle was only described as being gold or silver, and left the scene before the emergency services arrived.

The 36 year old female driver of the campervan was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment and there were no reports of other injuries.

The road was closed for just over an hour and reopened around 7.30pm.

Police appeal

Perth Roads Policing Constable Mathew Ross said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area and witnessed the crash to contact us.

“I would also ask anyone who was on the road around the time and who may have dash cam footage which could assist to get in touch.”
