Police in Dundee are appealing for information after sports equipment for a youth football club was stolen.

A metal container at Whitton Park community sports facility was broken into between 4pm - 5.30pm on Saturday June 5th.

Officers say youngsters are most likely to be responsible because the only way to access it is to climb over a 16ft fence.

The container holds equipment for a youth football club based at the ground.

Police Scotland issued the following statement:

"If you have any information that could assist us, please call 101 or speak to any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through CrimeStoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is incident 2902 of 5th June."
