Police are set to conduct a 'post event review' following the protest outside the Conservative leadership hustings in Perth last Tuesday, 16th August 2022.

Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss laid out their plans to local party members inside Perth Concert Hall while protestors made their frustrations known outside.

Banners displaying phrases such as "Tory Scum Out" where displayed while The Imperial March from Star Wars was blasted as party members entered the Concert Hall.

Some protestors broke free of the barrier and made their way to the Concert Hall doors to further vent their frustrations.

A police spokesperson said: “We are aware of concerns raised following the protest. We will be carrying out a post event review, as is normal practice, and these concerns will be considered as part of that. If any criminality is established, it will be fully investigated.”
