Police probe serious assault in Dundee

Police Scotland is appealing for witnesses after a 47-year-old man was seriously assaulted in a common close near Hajveri Cash and Carry in Dundonald Street, Dundee between 1.30pm and 2pm yesterday afternoon. The man responsible is described as being about 30-years-old, of medium build, about five feet eight inches tall with light brown hair. At the time he was wearing a denim jacket. The victim sustained injuries to his arm and head in the incident and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard suspicious activity should contact Police Scotland on 101.
