Police officer who died while on duty in Angus is named
PC Roy Buggins passed away in Montrose on Tuesday afternoon - the 51-year-old's death isn't being treated as suspicious.

A police officer who died while on duty in Montrose has been named as PC Roy Buggins.
The 51-year-old passed away on Tuesday afternoon while attending an incident in the Angus town.
His death isn’t being treated as suspicious and a report has been sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
Tayside Police said: “PC Roy Buggins had 29 years’ service as an officer, and was a highly valued and well-respected member of the Montrose and Brechin Community Policing Team in Angus.
“Our thoughts are with his friends and family, who have asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.”
Tributes have been paid by other colleagues, including General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation, Callum Steele, who described the news as “devastatingly sad.”
Police Scotland’s Tayside Divisional Commander, Chief Superintendent Andrew Todd said: “The sympathies of everyone at Police Scotland are with the officer's family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time.”
The Scottish Police Federation also tweeted to say it’s ‘devastating news.’
PC Buggins’ death comes on the eve of the annual Scottish Police Memorial Service.
