Police Name Perth Boy, 9, Killed After Being Hit By A90 Car
Police have named the nine-year-old boy who was knocked down and killed by a car as Kairon McKay from the Perth area.
He had been hit by a blue Ford C Max on the A90 - the main road between Perth and Dundee - near Longforgan, Perth and Kinross, at about 9.20pm on Friday.
Police said no other cars were involved and the road was closed while officers investigated the scene of the collision.
Officers have also renewed their appeal for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101.
A force spokesman said: Police Scotland can confirm that a nine-year-old boy has sadly died following a collision on the A90 at Longforgan.
The collision happened at around 9.20pm on Friday and involved a blue Ford C Max and the boy, who was a pedestrian. No other vehicles were involved and no one else has been injured.''
