Police looking for trio who attacked man with golf club in Dundee

Police are hunting a gang of men wielding a golf club who chased and attacked a man in a busy Dundee street.

It happened at around 8.15pm on Tuesday August 28 on Kilberry Street.

The victim was sitting in a white Ford Transit Connect van, when one of the attackers smashed the window with a golf club.

They then assaulted him and chased him down Kilberry Street towards Coupar Street.

The victim escaped serious injury.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said: "We have already spoken to witnesses and are following a positive line of enquiry, however we would still like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the relevant time.

"This incident took place in a busy street in the early evening, and it is hoped there were members of the public nearby who may have seen all or part of this incident."
