Police issue CCTV images after Dundee assault

Images released after man assaulted last December

Police in Dundee have renewed their appeal for information following an assault on a 26 year-old-man in Cowgate in the city last December.

The victim required hospital treatment for a fractured elbow as a result of the assault on Saturday the 5th December.

As part of the on-going investigation, Police released a CCTV image of a man they want to trace in connection with the incident.

He is described as being about 18 years old, 5 feet 8 tall and of slim build.

At the time of the incident, he wearing a long sleeved grey top and had had mid length light brown hair with the fringe brushed to the right.

Detective Sergeant Mike Ness said :

“The male in these images was seen in the area at the time of the assault, I would ask him, or anyone who recognises him, to come forward as they may have information to assist with our enquiries. In addition, anyone who was in the area at the time or anyone who has information regarding the assault is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, or speak to any Police Officer. Information can also be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
