Caravan in Dundee driveway deliberately set on fire

It happened in the early hours of Saturday on St Fillans Road

Officers in Dundee are appealing for information after a caravan was deliberately set on fire in the early hours of Saturday morning.

It happened around 1.30am in a driveway on St Fillans Road and was put out by fire crews.

Police Constable Malcolm MacKenzie said: “Fortunately no one was injured but this was a reckless act in a residential area.

“The fire is being treated as wilful and I am asking anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious to get in touch.

“In addition if you have CCTV footage or were driving in the area and have dash-cam footage then please made contact with officers.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0287 of Saturday, 21 May, 2022, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
