Police Crackdown On Violence And Disorder In Dundee

Almost 30 people have been reported for various offences during a crackdown on violence and disorder in Dundee.

The city wide initiative took place between the 1st and 14th of June.

It resulted in 13 people being reported for drug offences, seven for anti-social behaviour and one man reported for having an offensive weapon.

Chief Inspector Gary Ogilvie said: "We will continue to send out a strong message that any criminality will not be tolerated.

“Along with local officers, specialist support teams from across Scotland are specifically tasked to tackle violence, disorder and anti-social behaviour in our communities.

“We will use every resource available to deal with offenders in order to keep people safe.”
