Police confirm man has died after road crash in Abroath

A 69-year-old man has died after a road crash in Abroath.

Police have said the man was seriously injured when his silver Nissan Micra was involved in a collision on East Mary Street at its junction with Hannah Street at around 1am last Thursday.

He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee where he sadly died yesterday.

Sergeant Gordon Dickson, Road Policing Unit Dundee, said:

“Our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this crash and we would urge anyone who may have seen the car involved prior to the incident, or who has any dash-cam footage to come forward if you haven’t already spoken to an officer.

“Anyone who can help is asked to call 101, quoting reference 0189 of 8 June, 2023.”
