Police bid to trace man over attack on Dundee shop worker

The incident happened in the Ann Summers store in Reform Street in January.

Police investigating the assault of a member of staff in a shop have released CCTV images of a man they want to trace.

The incident happened in the Ann Summers store in Reform Street, Dundee, at around 1.50pm on Wednesday January 4.

The man is described as being of Asian appearance, aged in his late 40s, around 5ft 8in and of average build.

He has short, thick dark brown/black hair, which is greying.

At the time of the incident, he was wearing brown dress shoes, dark trousers which were possibly jeans, a three-quarter length jacket of grey tweed-style material, and a black and white checked scarf.

He had a dark rucksack with a distinctive yellow trim on his back.

When last seen he was exiting the store and walking south on Reform Street towards City Square.

Police said that despite "extensive inquiries'', the person responsible has still to be identified.

Officers appealed for information from any witnesses and asked them to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
