Police Appeal To Trace Pensioner Attacked In Montrose

Police are trying to trace an elderly man who was assaulted in Montrose.

The pensioner - believed to be in his 70's - was targetted in the Marine Avenue area yesterday afternoon.

It's understood his attacker also tried to rob him during the ordeal.

The incident is believed to have happened between 3:00pm and 3:30pm on Friday.

Officers are looking to trace an elderly man, believed to be the victim of the assault - after a witness reported the incident to Police.

He is described as being in his in his a white Scottish man in his 70s, around 5'6"-5'8" with a stocky build. He was wearing a light brown hat and a light brown zip-up jacket.
