Appeal for witnesses

Detective Sergeant Sean McCabe, Tayside CID, said: “The male suspect was seen running from the car as it caught fire. He then got into a waiting car which drove off at speed toward Fintry Drive.

“We believe that he may have sustained burn injuries as a result of the attack and would ask anyone who has any knowledge of a man who may have suffered from burn injuries in suspicious circumstances over the past few days to please come forward.

"I would also ask those in the area with CCTV or dash-cam footage to please check back and see if there is any footage from around the time of the incident that could assist our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact officers via 101 quoting reference number 0272 of Sunday, 28 August, 2022. Alternatively, details can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
