Police appeal after sexual assault in Dundee

The attack happened on Wednesday night

A woman has been sexually assaulted in the Fintry area of Dundee.

The 46-year-old was attacked by a man who approached her in Powrie Park, near to Cheviot Crescent, around 7.25pm on Wednesday.

The suspect is described as 6 ft tall, middle aged with a heavy and athletic build and broad shoulders.

He was wearing a black balaclava, zip-up hoodie, black jogging bottoms and black and white trainers. He made off in the direction of Jack Martin Way.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time, particularly a dog walker and a man on an electric bike who were seen in the park.

Detective Inspector Graeme Wishart said:

“I am appealing to anyone who may have any information about this incident to get in touch. If anyone saw or noticed anything suspicious, or has any information on the suspect, please do get in touch with us. In particular, anyone with a dash cam is asked to check the footage as it may have captured images which could assist the investigation.”
