Police appeal after cyclist assaulted in Dundee

Police have said they are keen to trace the victim of the assault as they may require help

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was assaulted by two men on Dundonald Street in Dundee.

Two men attacked the rider then used a car to drive over his bicycle between Ogilvie Street and North Erskine Street at around 3.25am on Sunday 21 May.

Officers said the car used was a silver Hyundai i10 that had been reported stolen but has since been recovered.

Police have said they are particularly keen to trace the victim - who has not yet contacted them - to determine if he has suffered any injuries or requires other assistance.

He is described as wearing a black and grey Nike hooded jumper with an obvious large white Nike symbol on the back.

Description of the suspects

The first suspect is described as in his 20s, about 5ft 7 tall with an average build and short dark hair. He was wearing a black zipped top with a white logo the left chest and right of back, possibly North Face.

The second is about 6ft, average build, and was wearing a black down jacket with a white t-shirt underneath, black trousers and a dark baseball hat.

Also in their company was a woman described as in her 20s, tall and with a slim build. She has long dark hair and was wearing a green dress under a dark green cropped jacket, and was also seen to be wearing black socks with orange sliders.
