Plant Evacuated In Leak Alert

A frozen food processing plant has been evacuated and one person required treatment for inhaling fumes after a suspected chemical leak. Emergency services were called to Dundee Cold Stores on the city's Whittle Place at 2.05pm today. Officers from Police Scotland, the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service attended. One person was treated at the scene for minor irritation as a result of fume inhalation. All staff working at the business were evacuated and accounted for. Police Scotland said there was no risk to the public as a result of the incident.
