A mum from Blairgowrie who lost her daughter six weeks ago now wants to support other families who've gone through the same thing.

Bernadette Nelson's daughter Emily was stillborn, and by putting her in a special refrigerated bed called a cuddle cot, she was able to spend three days with the infant after she died.

She's now raising money for another one at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee so other parents can have the same experience, and to thank the staff that helped her.

She said: "It's really just to thank the staff at the hospital for what the did for me.

"They gave me three days with my baby, three days that I would have never have had without these cuddle cots.

"That's why I think they are just so amazing."

Bernadette's fundraising page has already raised over £1,300 in just one week.

She originally set out to raise £250, but has now decided to keep on going.

She said: "I'm not sure Ninewells would purchase a cuddle cot with it, but that is what I'm hoping the money will go towards because as far as I am aware, they only have two".
